INDIVIDUAL MUSIC INSTRUCTION AT THE CROOKED STOVEPIPE

Beginner and intermediate instruction in a variety of folk instruments patiently taught by Ian Bell

Adults and young people equally welcome.

• Acoustic Guitar – folk, country and bluegrass basics, chords, finger picking, accompaniment techniques.
• 5-string Banjo - old-time clawhammer style, traditional tunes and song accompaniment,
• Mandolin – basic chords, melodic playing, song accompaniment
• Harmonica – folk, blues basics, melodic and rhythmic playing
• Button Accordion/Concertina – basics, Celtic, Canadian and Quebecois tunes

Lessons will be geared towards “ear-playing” and playing with others, but will usually include some basic music tablature and chart reading. CDs or MP3 files may also be provided

Cost is $20. per half-hour lesson
Lessons will take place at The Crooked Stovepipe – 1437 Thompson Rd, Villa Nova
Instruction can also be provided in your home - $25. per half hour
